Schools' Funding Consultation

The Schools Forum requested in September 2011, that the Specific Grants Review Group review the work carried out by the Formula Review Working Group.

The proposals for consultation were agreed by Schools Forum in October 2011. Please find attached the proposals and consultation document, and spreadsheets setting out the financial implications for schools, based on the proposals. There are two spreadsheets, setting out the different options relating to SEN funding.

The consultation with Schools and Governors closes on Friday 6 January 2012. A report on the results will be taken to the Schools Forum meeting of 11 January 2012.

During the consultation period meetings will be held within each quadrant. There will be two sessions at each venue, 15:00 - 17:00 and 19:00 - 21:00. The dates are as follows:

Monday 28th November      Weston Homes Community Stadium, Colchester

Tuesday 29th November     Hilton Hotel, Stansted

Wednesday 30th November Holiday Inn, Basildon

Thursday 1st December      Ivy Hill Hotel, Margaretting
